Greater Las Vegas Chapter

 Rose is a thirty-eight- year resident of Las Vegas and the wife of Dr. Howard Coker. She is a member of the   Senior Leadership Team at University Medical Center of Southern Nevada (UMC), where she serves as the Director of Managed Care and Business Development.  Before joining the UMC administration, Rose was tenured as Division Vice President of Managed Care with HCA Hospital System and Executive Director of Managed Care for Catholic Healthcare West Nevada Market.  She is the Principal Consultant with Managed Care Network Solutions, LLC.  Rose’s extensive 28 years of experience in contracting and finance has proven to be priceless to the hospital coalitions, ancillary facilities, and physician practice groups she represents.  

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rose served as part of the UMC team.  They were tasked with getting Las Vegas back to work by coordinating the COVID testing stations as well as organizing the vaccination locations throughout the city. During the height of the pandemic, Rose served on the front lines in various capacities; from working the command center to checking in patients, her positive attitude of whatever it takes was well-received by all.

Rose received her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Science from Arizona State University and Master’s in Business Administration from National University, San Diego, California.  She is a licensed Realtor and Licensed Agent of Life and Health Insurance. 

Beyond the board room, Rose is a caring woman who prides herself on helping her community.  Rose is  the founder and president of The Coker Foundation, Inc., a 501c3 organization committed to women achieving excellence.   She is an Lifetime active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, a member of The Links, Incorporated.  She has served as National Treasurer of the Links, Incorporated and The Links Foundation, Incorporated.  She  a member of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. and served as  past National Assistant Financial Secretary.  In 2019, she organized and charted The Greater Las Vegas Chapter of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc. and Top Teens of America.

 Rose has served in many leadership roles professionally and philosophically  on local, state and national  levels.  Still, if asked,  she would say that the greatest of these roles is serving as the Advisor for Top Teens of America. She loves the TEENS! For many years, Dr. Howard and Rose Coker have personally sponsored many students' college education through the Coker Foundation scholarships. Without fanfare.  She is committed to many philanthropic endeavors, either monetarily or offering her time and skills. She is a mentor to many youth and adults, but only a few  know the depths of her passion for helping others.
